This product is the flagship of Adicolor’s product line. Wetedge® is an extender medium for latex paint. This particular glaze has proven itself far superior to those previously available due to its clarity, viscosity and tremendous working time. Where traditional glazes give approximately fifteen to twenty minutes to manipulate color-work. Wetedge® yields as much as two hours open time.

Glacis® is a glazing medium for use in instances where contractors or home owners want both increased clarity provided by utilizing universal colorants instead of latex paints and the ability to apply subsequent layers in short amounts of time. This glaze has extremely high adhesion qualities ax well as the benefit of matte sheen when dry. It’s durability is beyond compare when cured. This material meets and exceeds standards set for 10,000 scrub-cycle testing.

Designed as an exterior synthetic stucco antico for the Italian market, Stone FX® is an extremely durable material with the capability of withstanding saltwater conditions. Its high vinyl and acrylic contents allow it to adhere to virtually any substrate while maintaining the flexibility to avoid cracking when the underlying surface shifts. In contrast to typical elastomeric stuccos that may incorporate some of the same properties, Stone FX® has the added characteristic of being tintable with any universal colorant and remains colorfast in both interior and exterior applications. Additionally, Stone FX® retains enough “tooth” after application to receive antiquing washes.

 

ADI-CRACKLE®: One-Step Crackle Quart (946 ml) 22.95 Gallon ( 3.5 Lt. ) 69.95

This wondrous material has taken 99% of the quess-work out of crackle systems. After applying the medium, the installer does not have to worry about catching the product at just the right degree of “tackiness”. Essentially, this product can be top-coated in two hours. Two weeks or two years and still is capable of cracking the top-coat. The top-coat can be anything from latex paint to plaster to stucco. The final variable that is eliminated is the consistency in the size of the cracks. Before Adicolor’s one-step crackle, the thickness of crackle medium and the thickness of the top-coat combine to affect the size of the cracks because other crackle systems must be top-coated while “tacky”. Because this medium is allowed to dry completely, the thickness of the topcoat is the only determining factor in crackle consistency. For Instance, on a bank of cabinets twenty feet long, the amount of drying time for the area at one end will be far less than the drying time for the other end. Thus, in a system with a “tack-factor;, consistency is virtually impossible. But when the medium is not a factor, the installer can take all day for several days to complete the project and the size of crackles will remain constant.

These two-part systems were designed to give installers alternatives for clear crackles over art work, furniture and a variety of other substrates. Both of these top-coats use the same sizing system. The characteristic of these products that outshines the competition is that this sizing medium has been formulated to never dry. In other words, the product works along the same lines as the one-step crackles but in reverse. By always remaining at the same “tack-level”, the sizing medium has no effect on the width of the top-coats crackle. Again, the only factor determining the finish is the top-coat. The gel crackle is a heavier version of the two products producing the largest crackle. The china crackle is thinner, producing smaller cracks.

 

FROTTAGE PLASTER Gallon ( 3.78 Lt. ) 79.95

Made to simulate broken plaster or peeling paint, depending on the application, this product gives an extremely authentic look while retaining user-friendly applicability. It can be worked and reworked for up to an hour if applied by trowel. Reactivation occurs when spritzed with water. Tinting is easy with universal colorants. Durability is unsurpassed. Once the material has cured in approximately twenty-four hours, it is rock-hard and adheres for the life of the substrate.

These metallic gel paints are quite straightforward in their superiority over traditional metallic paints. These products can be applied by trowel due to their full-bodied viscosity and covers the substrate in a single coat. The product can be thinned with water for greater yield and various effects.
